About Us: 

Knollwood Beach has been a cherished community since 1925. Located at the foot of the East Neck of Huntington, New York, facing Centerport Harbor and Northport Bay. The Knollwood Beach Association (“KBA”) was established July 6th, 1925 as the governing body of the beach.  What started as a collection of summer cottages has transformed into a vibrant community of 107 homes, whose deeds include the beach and are now year-round residences.

A Vibrant Community:

In addition to enjoying private access to the beach, Knollwood Beach members have many opportunities to gather with friends and neighbors in a beautiful setting. The beach beckons with beautiful sunrises and sunsets, firepits and barbecue grills, a basketball and pickleball court as well as shady and sunny areas for lounging. The calm waters of the bay offer great conditions for canoeing, kayaking, paddleboarding, swimming and fishing.  Members can moor their boats outside the beach and access them from KBA’s convenient kayak/dinghystorage racks on the beach. KBA also has Lifeguards at certain hours to ensure members’ safety throughout the busy summer season.

Community Pride:

The KBA board is dedicated to creating activities that foster community including our 4th of July fundraiser (nearing its centennial anniversary!) that features a children’s bike parade, beach barbecue, family games, gift basket raffle and a thrilling pie-eating contest. Other annual events include Band Night, holiday tree trimming and our new event – New Year’s Day Polar Bear Plunge!  The sense of community that permeates Knollwood Beach is a long-standing tradition here. We are proud that descendants of some of the original owning families still live here to this day. These members exemplify and have handed down the spirit of volunteerism, encouraging everyone to work together to preserve the beach. All members are invited to participate in the annual events as well as to work with neighbors at beach clean-ups and to voice their opinions and vote at our annual meetings.
